Resistance to what IS

Life has a flow.  Life is living.  We are life...not the "my life" we've been conditioned to believe in.  No, the eternal life we are.  Life moves and conforms and changes and finds a way to its infinite oneness.  It's like a stream finding its way down the mountain, into the river and ultimately into the ocean.  Life finds a way around the rocks and through the gorges.  It carves a path through the deltas, merging with more and more of itself.

Life is consciousness finding itself.  It is awareness becoming aware of awareness.  It is divine waking from the dream.  It is form realizing the formless.  Consciousness, unconscious as form, becomes conscious of consciousness.  Every turn, every bolder, every twist and rapid and waterfall is opportunity for the awakening of the dreamer from the dream.  Once awake, the form enjoys the ride down the stream, into the river, finding peace in the vastness of the ocean.

WE are that life, that extension of the formless, that consciousness, that awareness.  We are not just our form.  We are not a person living a "my life."  We are the observer of eternal life as a form experiencing the form of formlessness.  We are the stream, the river and the ocean.  Our form is on a journey of discovery, experience and awakening.  We are waking up to life.  We are waking up to what IS.  As a form we might say we are like this paper boat traveling down the stream:

Dying to live…

When the ego is constricted or constrained or squeezed, it will respond.  The ego's job is to respond to conflict in order for the biological unit to survive.  Consciousness focuses its attention on the form and through the form.  "God" can't help but willingly give "himself" to the identity of form because "God is love."  The dreamer looses himself in the character of the dream.  Like the prodigal son story, the father willingly gives himself (his inheritance and identity) to the son so the son can take his journey of discovery to find himself as the son of the father.

When the ego or the false self or the illusory identity is constricted the response is to either grow stronger as an ego (the sun is still resisting the gravity within) or the ego will collapse (gravity wins and a Supernova is born).  Many who have awakened did so as a result of great tragedy or trauma or fear or collapse of their egoic identity.  The stronger ego will continue the cycle until it collapses (maybe in another life or just prior to physical death).  With the collapsed ego, awareness emerges through the physical form as the "light of the world" Jesus described.

Self-Centered or Centered-SELF?

This truth of our true nature, of our true identity, explains so much about our illusory identity.  Knowing the nature of SELF explains so much about the forms we perceive we are.

The SELF is all that there is.  There is no other.  There is no other SELF than the one SELF.  As the one SELF, it is impossible to see "other" outside the one SELF.  As the SELF, unconditional acceptance is all that there is because to reject anything is to say there is something other than just the SELF.  Consciousness is only consciousness.  There is no story to tell because there are no subjects or objects to make a story.

So when the SELF willingly limits itself to a form and takes the identity of a self, it retains the essence of the SELF.  What is the essence of the SELF?  There is no other!

Going Beyond the Prism

Matt 6:22 Our perception is what guides our physical form. If we perceive from the truth of unity or oneness then our physical form is guided by oneness. If our perception is lost to a separate-self illusion, then our physical form is guided by unconsciousness. If our guide is unconsciousness then we are lost to unconsciousness. We can’t entertain two guides. We will hate one and love the other or be devoted to one and reject the other. We can’t be guided by eternal truth and the illusion of forms at the same time. (LLT)

The Prism of the Mind

Jesus manifested the pure light. His physical expression was without the limits of a temporal transformation of the light. Jesus was what it looks like for a human form to be the light absent of a prism. He contained and radiated the pure light of the eternal truth. He was what the divine looks like when it is not limited by the illusion of separation. He was the light of the world…and so are we....

John 3:19 This is the truth that brings conviction to our innermost being: the light or the truth of our nature is ever-present but the egoic mind is stuck in the darkness. It accepts the illusion as factual instead of seeing the light that is truth. The egoic mind wants to create conflict in its unconsciousness. When we are unconscious, we reject the truth. Our egoic minds can’t accept the truth and is terrified of the truth that will expose the illusion for what it is. However if we embrace the truth for what it is and let go of our egoic identity then what we do as the light is an expression of truth. (LLT)

Faith Test

I was thinking about why there seems to be all this schizophrenic, bi-polar, old-versus-new reasoning when it comes to understanding the nature of God.  To every born-again child of God, it is clear that Jesus is love and is God’s expression of love.  Jesus came to reveal the true nature of God to us. When we…

His Faithfulness

It is the last game in the world series, the bottom of the ninth and your team is down by one. Gimpy Gabe is on first and there are two outs. The relief pitcher is Rifle Richie who can throw a 100 mph fast ball and a slider that doesn’t move until the last three…

Book of Remembrance

When I was a little kid I lived in the “mid south.”  That is what the weather man called it on the news. He would point to the map and say “sunny in the morning with a chance of showers in the afternoon over the entire mid south region.”  We lived in Memphis Tennessee. Apparently…

I’m Right: Part 2

In Part 1 of this series I talked about how righteousness isn’t a measuring stick of my performance but simply God’s approval.  Religion has distorted this concept and used it against us.  As a matter of fact God talks a lot about how we shouldn’t look for His approval elsewhere.  Paul tells us that there…
